Lee Buckler

Lee is an experienced senior executive and corporate director within the biotechnology sector. His management experience includes C-suite, senior management and Board roles in public and private biotech companies as well as non-profit organizations. He has also provided a wide range of contract management and strategic advisory services to public and private bio-pharma companies in Canada, the United States, Middle East, Japan, and Europe.  

Lee’s deepest expertise is in the advanced therapies sector – particularly with cell-based regenerative medicines – and most of his experience has been focused on the American and Japanese markets. He is the Managing Director of the Cell Therapy Group, a consultancy he formed in 2008 and which now operates within HighMont Adviors, Inc – a management consulting company of which is a founding shareholder and Director. Lee has extensive deal-negotiating and structuring experience, a strong base of scientific knowledge in cell therapies and related technologies, operational expertise, and a well-developed network of relationships within pharma-biotech and investment communities around the globe. 

Lee is passionate about promoting communications and the exchange of ideas in and for the advanced therapies industry as an active Twitter (@celltherapy) contributor, host of the LinkedIn Cell Therapy Industry Group, as well as a frequent commentator, analyst and contributor. 

Lee holds a Bachelors of Education and a JD from the University of British Columbia.
