Sadaf Naz Khan

Regional CAR T Site Liaision • Janssen

I graduated with an Honors degree in Biomedical sciences from Kingston University in UK and then worked in pharmacy after becoming a member of the National Pharmacy Association.

For the last 15 years I have worked in the research and development in various roles in both academia and industry. I have worked for three of the largest pharmaceutical companies as a global clinical trials manager. In this role I was responsible for coordinating the data collection to drive the site selection decision process, establishing enrolment commitments, ensuring actual enrolment meets projected commitments, developing risk management plans, managing timely and accurate documentation, communication of study progress, issue escalation and driving issue resolutions.

In April 2020 I started as an Associate Director, CAR T Apheresis Site Liaison (CASL) at Janssen Pharmaceuticals (Johnson & Johnson). My position serves as a cross-functional, point of contact within Janssen for operational and technical aspects of collections and cryopreservation of apheresis cells used to manufacture chimeric antigen receptor T cells (CAR-T). The CASL also provides technical and operational support to clinical sites participating in Janssen global CAR-T clinical trials.

I am a member of the International Society of Cellular Therapy (ISCT) and I have recently completed an online course in Preservation of Cellular Therapies at the University of Minnesota.
