Dr Serene Forte is an accomplished scientific and clinical based leader with over 20 years of direct leadership experience and a record of success blending scientific education and business acumen to drive global medical affairs, commercial strategy, and patient advocacy. She has extensive experience in the field of genetic medicines having been directly involved in strategic launch development for several gene therapy companies. Her interests include rare disease, gene replacement, genetic medicines for neuromuscular and metabolic diseases, AAV technologies, and gene editing.
Dr Serene Forte received her master’s in public health from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland and earned her PhD in Virology and Immunology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts. Dr. Forte completed her post-doctoral training and fellowship training at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute holding dual appointments at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and in the Department of Medicine at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. She continued her training as a senior fellow at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington before moving into industry
